Verb rozumět ‘to understand’ takes the dative case. 1st person sg present: rozumím; negation with the prefix ne- → nerozumím. Common objects: vám/ti (you, DAT), tomu (‘it’, DAT).

Examples

  • Sorry, I don't understand.
  • I don't understand you; could you please repeat it?
  • Sorry, I don't understand that explanation.
